If you only have time to read one investing book, read this one. I think this is the best book for beginners because it simply explains so many concepts about investing. The book also covers some history of investing and stock markets, the behavioral side of investing, and portfolio management.
The long-term investing strategies are suitable for almost any investor. You will not be disappointed with reading this book.
Intelligent Investor

Warren Buffett has long touted this book as being the best investing book ever written. Benjamin Graham, Warren Buffett’s mentor, wrote this book in 1949 and it remains an investing classic today.
The book focuses on value investing, for which Graham and Buffett are well known. Value investing is about how to identify stocks that are trading below their intrinsic value. Graham covers how to analyze individual companies and their management values. The book also covers some history of the stock market, how to analyze a stock, and portfolio diversification.
Bogleheads’ Guide to Investing

All around this is a great book on investing and personal finance. John C. Bogle himself wrote the forward for this book.
